Prism is a mixed use development in Fitzroy along one of Melbourne’s most vibrant and diverse shopping strips. The development contains a large ground floor retail tenant, a childcare center and 32 apartments.

The sites existing heritage building is a remnant from the MacRoberton’s Chocolates precinct and its facade retention was integral to the design. Consequently, the proposed built form is setback behind the heritage facade and has been broken down into two elements to ensure the existing MacRoberton remains the focal vista. The proposed podium is clad in fluted perforated mesh whilst the tower element boasts a simple yet striking hexagonal facade pattern. Both these facade contrast against the more traditional brickwork of the existing heritage building.

Prism is currently in Town Planning.
